2026-2027 School Year Planned Closures

SCDC is closed for childcare for the following planned closures:

· Friday and Monday before start of Fall Semester: August 14 + 17, 2026

· Labor Day: September 7, 2026

· Thanksgiving and the Friday after: November 26 + 27, 2026

· Full Day for Parent-Teacher Conferences: December, 11, 2026

· Winter Break: December 24, 2026-January 3, 2027 (Return to school January 4, 2027)

· Martin Luther King Jr. Day: January 18, 2027

· Professional Development Day: February 15, 2027

· Full Day for Parent-Teacher Conferences: April 16, 2027

· Memorial Day: May 31, 2027

· Independence Day Observance: July 1 + 2, 2027

 

SCDC Semester Dates

Spartan Child Development Center operates on a semester basis. Schedule change requests are due no later than 4 weeks prior to the start of a new semester and are based on availability. Families are expected to retain an enrollment schedule for a full semester.

 

The semesters for 2026-2027 are as follows:

 

Last day of Summer Semester 2026: August 13, 2026 (Preschool Graduation Day) Fall Semester: August 18, 2026-December 23, 2026 Spring Semester: January 4, 2027-April 23, 2027 Summer Semester: April 26, 2027-August 12, 2027

 

These dates do not include the planned closures for the Preschool for All Program at SCDC. As soon as we get those confirmed dates from the ISD, we will update the Important Dates to also reflect those days
