2023-2024 School Year Planned Closures

SCDC is closed for childcare and no fees are charged for the following planned closures –

Friday and Monday before start of Fall semester: August 18 and 21, 2023

Labor Day: September 4, 2023

Thanksgiving and the Friday after: November 23 & 24, 2023

Conferences: December 15, 2023

Winter Break: December 25, 2023- January 2, 2024

Martin Luther King Jr Day: January 15, 2024

Professional Development Day: February 19 ,2024

Conferences: April 19, 2024

Memorial Day: May 27, 2024

Independence Day Observance: July 4 & 5, 2024

Early Closures

International Night is a community event that occurs annually. On the date below, SCDC will close early to allow for event set-up. Full tuition will be charged for this day. The event takes place from 5:30pm-7:00pm on October 12, 2023.

SCDC Semester Dates

Spartan Child Development Center operates on a semester basis. Schedule change requests are due no later than 4 weeks prior to the start of a new semester and are based on availability. Families are expected to retain an enrollment schedule for a full semester.

The semesters for 2023-2024 are as follows –

 Last day of Summer Semester 2022: August 17, 2023
 Fall Semester: August 22, 2023 – December 22, 2023
 Spring Semester: January 3, 2024 – April 26, 2024
 Summer Semester: April 29, 2024- August 15, 2024
